NORTH SLOVAKIA

  • mostly highlands with stony and less fertile ground,majority of the area are forests

  • area is rich for mineral or thermal water, thermal spas

  • agriculture: stock and sheep breding; potatoes, barley and fodder crops are grown

  • industry: lime and dolomit pits, production of iron ore and copper mining, engineering - TV set production; textile industry, wood and furniture industry, metallurgy, rubber industry, paper and pulp industry

  • several artifical dams, that provide water sport opportinities

SLOVAKIA - NATURAL BEAUTIES
Beautiful karst creations came into being hundred thousand years ago. There are about 17 public available caves in whole country.
