Martinské hole are one of several winter sport resorts near the city. There are 8 ski-lifts, which provide excellent conditions for cross country, skiing and snow-boarding. The City of Martin has project of its rebuilding developed. But almost a billion investment has already discouraged several investors. In spite of the fact, that there is not snow-making possible, good conditions usually lasts there from december till Easter.

Snowland Valčianska dolina: The area of the ski resort is situated in Lúčanská part of Malá Fatra mountain range in  Valčianska dolina (The Valley of Valča). From the Village of Valča is distanted 2,5 km and from Martin 14 km. There are 3 ski lifts  (2500 persons/hour), the mini ski lift, night skiing.  Snow-making possible, if lack of snow. 

Winter ski resort Jasenská dolina is the most famous valley in Veľká Fatra mountain range. The winter ski resort is known for perfect skiing conditions for beginners and  intermediate skiers. There are 7 ski lifts (5700 persons/ hour), 4 persons chair lift, night skiing. Snow-making possible, if lack of snow.
